Terms of Service

Last updated: July 30, 2026

These Terms of Service explain the rules that apply when you visit healingwithdogskc.com, submit an intake form, schedule or pay for a consultation or appointment, communicate with Healing with Dogs KC, or receive mobile pet care services.

By using the website, submitting information, booking, paying, or accepting services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or book services.

About Healing with Dogs KC

Healing with Dogs KC provides mobile restorative bathing, maintenance skin and coat care, and related comfort-focused pet care services in the Kansas City metro area. The mobile spa comes to the service location; there is no public shop address for walk-in visits.

Healing with Dogs KC is not a veterinary provider. We do not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or replace veterinary care. Educational website content, service notes, grooming observations, and home-care suggestions are not medical advice.

Who may use the site and book services

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter an agreement.
  • You must be the pet's owner or an authorized caregiver with permission to request services and make care decisions.
  • You agree to provide complete and accurate information during intake, booking, consultation, and follow-up communications.

Intake, consultation, and care plans

New clients start with an intake and consultation so Jamie can understand your dog's skin, coat, history, behavior, comfort level, service location, and care goals. Care plans are personal and may change as your dog's needs change.

  • The $50 consultation fee reserves your review spot and is applied to your first visit when you book within 30 days.
  • Pricing is confirmed in your care plan before you book services.
  • Healing with Dogs KC may decline, pause, or refer services to a veterinarian when a dog's needs are outside grooming scope or when care would not be safe or appropriate.

Client responsibilities

You are responsible for giving Healing with Dogs KC the information and working conditions needed to provide safe, low-stress care.

  • Tell us about bites, attempted bites, aggression, anxiety, handling sensitivities, mobility issues, pain, medical conditions, medications, allergies, parasites, infectious symptoms, pregnancy, recent surgeries, wounds, seizures, heart conditions, heat sensitivity, or anything else that could affect care.
  • Provide current vaccination or rabies information if requested, and comply with any city, county, state, housing, or facility requirements that apply to your dog.
  • Make sure a responsible adult is available, the dog can be safely transferred to and from the mobile spa, and other pets or people are secured away from the work area when needed.
  • Provide safe, legal parking and reasonable access to the service location. If a location is unsafe, inaccessible, unlawful to park at, or unsuitable for mobile service, we may reschedule or cancel.

Health, behavior, and safety

Grooming and bathing involve water, tools, handling, lifting, drying, products, and close contact with skin, coat, nails, ears, paws, teeth, and sensitive areas. Even gentle care can involve risk, especially for senior dogs, anxious dogs, dogs with medical conditions, dogs with matting, and dogs with skin irritation.

  • Healing with Dogs KC may stop a service, modify a care plan, skip a task, or end an appointment if Jamie believes continuing would be unsafe, too stressful, medically inappropriate, or outside the dog's comfort level.
  • If urgent symptoms, open wounds, severe matting, parasites, infection concerns, pain, sudden behavior change, or other red flags are present, your veterinarian is the appropriate first call.
  • You authorize Healing with Dogs KC to seek emergency veterinary care when Jamie reasonably believes immediate care is needed and you cannot be reached. You remain responsible for veterinary costs.

Scheduling, payment, cancellation, and refunds

Booking, intake, invoices, payment, texts, and client records may be handled through MoeGo or other service providers. Those providers may have their own terms, privacy policies, and payment rules.

  • You agree to pay all approved consultation, service, product, travel, tax, payment-processing, late, cancellation, no-show, chargeback, or other fees that are disclosed in the booking flow, invoice, care plan, or written communication.
  • Appointment times may shift because of traffic, weather, pet safety, service length, mobile equipment needs, or other reasonable business conditions.
  • Rescheduling, cancellation, no-show, deposit, and refund terms may be shown in MoeGo, an invoice, a confirmation message, or another written communication. Those specific written terms control the appointment they apply to.
  • Payments for completed services, consultations, and used or opened products are generally non-refundable unless Healing with Dogs KC agrees otherwise or applicable law requires a refund.

Products and home care

Healing with Dogs KC may recommend or sell skin, coat, grooming, or home-care products. Product availability, suitability, and results vary by dog. You are responsible for following product directions, watching for sensitivity, and contacting your veterinarian about medical concerns or adverse reactions.

Photos, reviews, testimonials, and social media

Healing with Dogs KC may request permission to use photos, videos, reviews, testimonials, before-and-after images, or stories. We will not intentionally present fake reviews, misleading endorsements, or client content in a deceptive way.

  • If you submit or approve content for public use, you grant Healing with Dogs KC permission to use, edit, reproduce, publish, and display that content for website, social media, educational, promotional, and business purposes.
  • You confirm that any content you provide is truthful, owned by you, or submitted with proper permission.
  • You may ask us to stop using your content in future materials when removal is reasonably possible. Existing printed, archived, cached, or already-shared materials may not be fully removable.

Shelter-dog mission

Healing with Dogs KC's mission includes funding free restorative care for Kansas City metro shelter dogs. Unless we clearly say otherwise in writing, payments for grooming, products, consultations, and other services are business payments, not charitable donations, and are not represented as tax-deductible donations. Any direct-donation or nonprofit details will be stated separately if and when they apply.

Disclaimers

The website and services are provided on an "as available" basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Healing with Dogs KC disclaims warranties that are not expressly stated in writing, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee a specific grooming, skin, coat, behavioral, medical, adoption, or business outcome. Results vary by dog, condition, history, environment, home care, veterinary care, and other factors outside our control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Healing with Dogs KC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or business interruption arising from the website or services.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Healing with Dogs KC's total liability for any claim related to the website or services is limited to the amount you paid Healing with Dogs KC for the service giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Healing with Dogs KC, Jamie, and their service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from your breach of these terms, information you provide, your dog's behavior or medical condition, unsafe service-location conditions, your misuse of the website, or your violation of law or another person's rights.

Governing law and disputes

Healing with Dogs KC serves clients across the Kansas City metro, including both Kansas and Missouri. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes will be handled under the laws that apply to the service location and the courts serving that area. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot be waived by contract.

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us at hello@healingwithdogskc.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service as the website, services, tools, policies, or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date shows when the current version took effect. Continued use of the website or services after changes means you accept the updated terms.
