Waiting right now600+
dogs are waiting for forever families.
That's hundreds of adoption photos, first impressions, and overlooked dogs competing for attention at once.
THE MISSION
Healing with Dogs KC has a nonprofit application in progress. The residential care you book funds free restorative skin and coat care for shelter dogs across the Kansas City metro. One booking. Two dogs helped.

THE NEED IN NUMBERS
Shelter skin and coat care isn't cosmetic fluff. It can change whether a dog gets noticed, photographed with dignity, and seen as ready for home.

WHY SKIN & COAT CARE
Shelter dogs with skin and coat problems face a cruel math: they photograph poorly, so they wait longer. And when they finally are adopted, unaddressed skin issues too often send them right back, returned within weeks by families who didn't know what they were taking on.
Restorative care breaks the cycle at both ends. Dogs look and feel like themselves in their adoption photos, go home faster — and their new families inherit a dog whose skin is already on the mend.
HOW THE MODEL WORKS
01
Your dog gets restorative one-on-one care in the mobile spa.
02
Proceeds fund free restorative sessions for KC shelter dogs, at no cost to the shelters.
03
Skin calms, coats recover, dogs photograph with dignity.
04
Better first impressions mean faster adoptions and fewer returns.
There's no donation button here yet —and that's on purpose. The best way to support the mission is to take beautiful care of your own dog.
INSIDE A SHELTER SESSION

OUR PROMISE
Healing with Dogs KC is young, and we'd rather show you honest commitments than inflated numbers.
We'll publish session counts and partner shelters right here as they happen.
Every shelter dog gets the same products and protocols as paying clients.
A volunteer board oversees the mission and its funds.
Before/after transformations will be shared with shelter permission.

BEYOND BOOKING
When we post transformations, your share helps them get seen.
MISSION FAQ
No — payments for services aren't donations, and Healing with Dogs KC is not yet a legal nonprofit. A nonprofit application is in progress; we'll clearly mark any direct-donation or tax-deductibility details once they are confirmed.
Partnerships are being built across the KC metro; partners will be listed here as agreements finalize.
Never — the mission is funded by the business running well, so your dog getting exceptional care IS the model.
Not yet; booking, referring, and sharing are the best support today.
